Nicolas Hornyak is an author and interdisciplinary artist. He has written three books and four games. He has also contributed to many more games and anthologies, and produces music under his stage name, Brother Nico.
Nico’s fiction specializes in both the speculative genres of science fiction and fantasy. His art features irreverent commentaries on day-to-day life in the face of American assimilation, and his music and poetry explore countercultures in opposition to traditional notions of masculinity.
Ultimately, his work searches for answers in the space between queer expression, societal expectations, and primal humanity.
He graduated from the Lilly Lieb Port Creative Writing Program at Purchase College, with concentrations in fiction and poetry, and a minor in screenwriting.
His mother is from Puerto Rico, and his father is from upstate New York. Nico is a fan of both spiedies and tostones, and currently lives in Newark, New Jersey, which is experiencing a shortage of both.
